MATERIAL TYPE
The Material Type section allows administrators to categorize raw materials, finished goods, or components based on their characteristics and usage in manufacturing or inventory management. This interface helps organize materials systematically for better tracking and procurement processes.
Navigation
Follow these steps to access the Material Type interface:
- Navigate to the Engineering module from the main menu
- Under the Secondary Master section, select Material Type
The Material Type interface will display all existing material types and provide options to create new entries.
Creating a New Material Type
Step 1: Initiate Material Type Creation
Click the Add button in the toolbar to begin creating a new material type.
Step 2: Complete the Material Type Form
A material type configuration form will appear with the following fields:
Material Type Information

Step 3: Save the Material Type
After completing all required information, click the Save button to create the material type entry.
Warning
The Material Type Name field is mandatory.
Managing Existing Material Types
Material Type Listing View
Once created, all material types are displayed in the Material Type table.
Actions
Each material type in the listing supports the following actions:
Edit Material Type
Click the Pencil icon in the Actions column to modify material type details including name, description, or active status.
View Material Type
Click the Eye icon in the Actions column to view complete material type details in read-only mode.
Toolbar Features
The Material Type interface includes the following toolbar features:
