UOM (UNIT OF MEASUREMENT)
The UOM (Unit of Measurement) section allows administrators to define standard units used to quantify materials, products, or services. This interface ensures consistency in measurements, such as kilograms, liters, or pieces, helping streamline inventory management, procurement, and production processes.
Navigation
Follow these steps to access the UOM interface:
- Navigate to the Engineering module from the main menu
- Under the Secondary Master section, select UOM

The UOM interface will display all existing units of measurement and provide options to create new entries.
Creating a New UOM
Step 1: Initiate UOM Creation
Click the Add button in the toolbar to begin creating a new unit of measurement.

Step 2: Complete the UOM Form
A UOM configuration form will appear with the following fields:

UOM Information

| UOM Name | Enter the name of the unit of measurement | ✓ Yes |
| Description | Provide a description of the UOM | Optional |
| Remarks | Enter any relevant remarks or notes | Optional |
| Active Status | Toggle to enable/disable the UOM (enabled by default) | ✓ Yes |
Step 3: Save the UOM
After completing all required information, click the Save button to create the UOM entry.
Warning
The UOM Name field is mandatory.
Managing Existing UOMs
UOM Listing View
Once created, all units of measurement are displayed in the UOM table.

Actions

Each UOM in the listing supports the following actions:
Edit UOM
Click the Pencil icon in the Actions column to modify the selected UOM information.
View UOM
Click the Eye icon in the Actions column to view complete UOM details in read-only mode.
