CATEGORY

The Category section allows administrators to create, manage, and organize various classification categories to streamline product segmentation, sales reporting, and process grouping within the sales and marketing system.

Navigation

Follow these steps to access the Category interface:

1. Navigate to the Sales and Marketing module from the main menu
2. Under the Secondary Master section, select Category

The Category interface will display all existing categories and provide options to create new entries.

Creating a New Category

Step 1: Initiate Category Creation

Click the Add button in the toolbar to begin creating a new category.

Step 2: Complete the Category Form

A category configuration form will appear with the following fields:

Category Information

Field	Description	Required
Category Name	Enter the name of the category	✓ Yes
Description	Provide a brief explanation or purpose of the category	Optional
Active Status	Toggle to enable/disable the category (enabled by default)	✓ Yes

Step 3: Save the Category

After completing all required information, click the Save button to create the category entry.

Managing Existing Categories

Category Listing View

Once created, all categories are displayed in the Category table.

Actions

Each category in the listing supports the following actions:

Edit Category

Click the Pencil icon in the Actions column to modify the selected category information.

View Category

Click the Eye icon in the Actions column to view complete category details in read-only mode.

Toolbar Features

The Category interface includes the following toolbar features:

🔍 Search	Search Input	Filter categories by entering keywords (searches across all columns)
🔄 Refresh	Refresh Data	Reload the category table to display the latest data
